Wat is het leukste / stomste commentaar je ooit hoorde?

We rijden allemaal met toch wel een unieke auto, een Lotus kom je nu niet zomaar elke dag tegen. Het idee komt van een ander forum maar ik ben zeker dat mensen hier wel al eens leuke dingen hebben tegengekomen.

Ik zal straks eentje van mezelf posten maar ik begin alvast met een mooi voorbeeld van het amerikaanse Lotus forum.

Me and the gf went to Rita's the other night, it was a really nice day so there were around 20-30 people in line, half of which were kids. Obviously the cell phone cameras came out, because evidently every 6-10 year old has one nowadays. Even the girl at the window asked me if i'd mine taking her camera, walking over to the car, and taking picture for her since she couldn't come outside, which i did. So we get the ice, head back over to the car and sit down next to it. One boy in particular had the guts to come over by himself and said, "Excuse me sir, is this your car?"

Me: Yep
Kid: "Would you mind if I took a few pictures of it with my phone?"

Now at this point, I was feeling unusually generous, most likely because it was refreshing to meet a kid with a decent set of manners. I'm a sucker for that because my parents were sticklers about it when i was growing up. Please/thank you's for everything.....

Me: Why don't you sit in it and I'll take a picture of you with your phone?
Kid: (pause as his eyes light up).......ummm ok

The gf started choking on her ice cream when she heard me offer that, because she knows that i don't let anyone even breathe on the car, let alone touch it. She started smiling as I helped the kid into the car, careful not to kick anything. The kid was soooo nervous-he looked like he just got pulled over-both hands cemented on the steering wheel, hands at 10/2 o'clock and his eyes plastered straight ahead, glazed open LOL.

Me: Do something cool! You have to show this to your friends! Give me the thumbs up or something!

So the kid gives the thumbs up, i take the picture and i help him back out of the car. A few thank you's later he runs back over to his mom and everyone was smiling and crowding around the kids camera. I think i made his day.

Last Friday. Rodeo Drive (Beverly Hills - CA).

Two pretty girls in the car next to me.
A kid runs in front of my car to take a picture of it.
The girls, giggling, shout over to me.
"We're wrecking the picture of your car..."
I shouted back, "No, you're improving the picture..."
They smiled.
They shouted back. "Good answer!"

Toen ik een maand geleden mijn Exige kapot gereden had kwam mijn dochtertje (7j) een kijkje nemen in de garage om te zien wat er nu juist stuk was. De frontclam was helemaal gebroken en gebarsten....ze stond daar zo even op te kijken en zei dan doodleuk: 'maar papa, dat is nu toch niet zo erg, rijd daarmee naar Carglass, daar kunnen ze alle barstjes maken'

En toen ik een paar dagen later achter de computer zat om wat prijzen op te zoeken voor een nieuwe zat ze tv te kijken, het was juist reclame. Ik liet zo langs mijn neus weg verstaan dat de nieuwprijs voor een Lotus toch wat gestegen was...plotseling zegt ze:'hier papa, een goedkope Lotus' Ik verbaasd 'Waar ergens"....'Hier op tv, een Lotus Finesse' Was net reclame voor het nieuwe wc-papier. Als straf mag ze met de nieuwe niet meerijden

Scene – Parking lot of the local Safeway last Saturday, sunny afternoon around 4 pm. Me wearing old tee shirt, shorts, sunglasses and flip flops getting out of my 2008 Elise SC that I’ve only had for three weeks.

Girl 1 short brown hair about twenty something wearing shorts and a bikini top. Girl 2 Blonde medium lenght hair, wearing jeans and a tee shirt with no bra. I know for a fact shes not wearing a bra.

Girl 1 “is that your car? Cool What is it?”
Me “ It’s a Lotus Elise and thanks I think it’s cool too”
Girl 2 leaning into the car to take closer look “Wow its tight in there….you broken it in yet? Prolly hard to do it in there”
Girl 1 “Well if he was sitting in the passenger seat and I sat forward on his lap sorta reverse cowgirl you could do it.”
Girl 2 “ No way”
Girl 1 “Way”
Girl 2 “Have you done it in it yet?”
Me “No” (pretty snappy answer under the circumstances I think)
Girl 2 “Are ya gonna?”
Me “ Didn’t buy it for that”
Girl 1 “ Don’t mind her she’s never done it in car like that”
Girl 2 “Shut up neither have you”
Me “Neither have I”
Girl 2 “Take me for a ride?”
I ponder for a moment the idea and consider that driving around in an Orange Lotus Elise with a blonde who is NOT my girlfriend is about as inconspicuous as driving around in a flying saucer so I say. “Maybe later”.
Girl 1 “ You should take her for a ride…shell prolly do ya”
Me “GULP”
Girl 2 “Shut UP you prolly would too you’re such a skank”
Girl 1 “You shut up”
Girl 2 “Can I sit in at least so Lauren can take my picture?
Me “Sure” so I open the door and Girl 2 gets in very awkwardly as Girl 1 (Lauren) gets her cell phone out to take a picture.
Girl 2 as shes sitting in the car ‘ Wow…theres more room in here than it looks so I could do it in here…with the roof off.”
Me ‘It would be hard with the roof on…it would have to be topless”
Girl 2 looking up at me “It has to be hard and I promise I’d be topless”
Then she hauls up her tee shirt and flashes me and Girl 1 (Lauren) who snaps her picture.

I hope I don't get the same reaction when I show the car to my mom.

Toen ik in de zomer meegedaan heb aan de nachtrit van Thierry Verhiest kwam bij een stop een eigenaar van een Exige S naar me toe gesneld en zei :

"WTF heb jij met je Elan gedaan, normaal pink ik al van ver zodat die aan de kant kan gaan voor mij maar om U te volgen moet ik echt keihard doorgaan om U te kunnen volgen..."

Ik vond dit een zeer leuk compliment voor mijne 'bijna' oldtimer

Ik had mijn rode Exige nog niet zo lang als er een collega naar me toe kwam.
Hij had 2 Lotus speculaasjes, verpakt in zo'n rood plasticje bij zich. Hij laat ze aan mij zien en zei: 'Raf, ik heb deze dubbel. Wil je niet ruilen?'

Met m'n Lotus heb ik nog niet zoveel gereden/meegemaakt maar stomme commentaar hoorde ik regelmatig met m'n vorige weekend-auto(Dodge Challeger)

Mijn antwoord : waarom denkt u dat ik hem heb stil gelegd anders krijg ik de tank nooit vol !
