F1 teams offer chance to join crew

Mercedes at the Goodwood Festival of SpeedThe Mercedes and Lotus Formula 1 teams are offering members of the public a chance to join their pit crews at forthcoming promotional events as part of the UK's National Motorsport Week.

The competition opens on the http://www.gomotorsport.net website today and runs until Friday 24 June.

Two winners will be given the chance to be fully-uniformed members of the Mercedes crew for the team's run at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on the first weekend of July.

Two further winners will have their experience with Lotus, working with the team's crew at a straightline test at the Kemble airfield on 4 or 5 July.
