Up for auction is a replica of a Lotus Eleven S2 Club. Chassis is built to series 2 club spec, engine is a converted Coventry Climax firepump.
Modifications include: FWB con rods, rear oil seal & adapter plate, H4 SU carbs on a proper Climax manifold (ex-Lotus Elite), Isky valve springs, FWA oil pump gears, aluminum crankshaft pully, steel timing gear, Lucas 23D distributor (1275S advance curve), head has been shaved .040" and cam carrier raised accordingly. The motor is coupled to a Spridget ribcase gear box.
Front suspension is as per stock Lotus 7/Elite, i couldnt find the correct "early" style Triumph uprights, so the car has ex-Lotus Elan +2 uprights and brakes, with special converison hubs from Mike Brotherwood, stock Lotus 7/11/12/14 upper links with a stock 1/2" sway bar, Spax shocks. Steering rack is a modified Spitfire unit (couldnt find a RHD Morris Minor unit at the time),
Rear suspension is stock Eleven Club, three trailing links and one triangulated link, Spax shocks. Rear axle is Nash Metropolitan with a 3.9:1 gear set. Rear brakes are stock Nash Met drum brakes (correct for the Club model Elevens).
Front and rear body sections are copies of Westfield panels, while the remained of the body is in aluminum (fabricated by Bandini Metal Works). Alloy gas tank, header tank, radiator, inner fender panels etc.
The car is on painted 60 spoke Dunlop wire wheels with Firestone 145/15's on the front and Michelin XAS 155/15's on the rear.
So far the car has covered approximately 1000 miles since completion, the speedo is a bit wonky (not calibrated) so the mileage could be a bit more or a bit less. Its a very fun car to drive on the open road and does get a ton of attention. But, i just dont drive it enough to warrant keeping it, so its up for auction. The car is located in Vancouver, BC but i can help out with any shipping needs (at the buyers expense). The car has a clear title here in BC, and is registered as a RepliKit.
Any questions, feel free to ask.
