Hij is hem echt niet populair aan het maken hé... jammer.

The friend who invited me (it was his leaving do) insisted I drove to the Palace in a Seven and as far as he was concerned it was not up for debate. I have to confess I love this car; it is bold, it is different, it is irreverent, it forms opinions and the fact that it does turn heads, young and old, certainly makes the driver centre of attention. My drive into central London was happily hampered by pedestrians crossing at traffic lights and wanting to take photos with their phone cameras, by bus drivers pulling alongside wanting to ask about the car and tourists asking to have a photo taken of them next to the car. Eventually I pulled up to the North entrance of the Palace and the Police guards shared a chuckle amongst themselves as to whether the Seven would clear the security barrier even with it retracted. No problem, and I was then escorted to a prime parking place right beside the main entrance. A pleasant evening was had by all and as we left the reception my friend then insisted he left his last day at the Palace in style by driving the Seven out of the gates. I should have read his mind because before I could finish belting myself in we sped off at pace his enthusiasm” led to us virtually completing a 360o donut on the revrent gravel. Not the most subtle exit I’ve been a part of, but on the plus side Her Majesty saw the funny side (...)"

Ik weet het, het is wellicht evenzeer een pose en hij stelt zich bewust op als de sympathieke gast met wie je samen spontaan een pint gaat drinken. Een imago aangepast aan het product en vandaar dat de houding van Bahar up-market en hautain dient te zijn.
